Straight Outta Fishtown

Upon his release from prison, rapper RONG WU finds himself hailed as the ultimate icon of “Real” hip-hop after a pre-prison freestyle unexpectedly goes viral. Wanting nothing more than to leave his past behind, he seeks refuge in a remote fishing village with his old friend Goofy, who invites him to perform at the local carnival. There, RONG discovers the raw rap talent of Goofy’s daughter, FISH, and gradually reclaims his passion for music and life. But when his past resurfaces, RONG must choose between living up to the world’s expectations and staying true to himself.
